Case Study: Covenant HealthCare Partners

Problem

I

n 2020, Covenant HealthCare Partners recognized the need to distinguish themselves from their partner organizations. They became inspired to create a new logo and website for their brand to give patients access to some of the best physicians in the Great Lakes Bay Region.

The team reached out to Cardinal Solutions for help building their new logo & website and create branding materials. They wanted to make something useful for both physicians and patients, showcasing all the benefits they can offer to the community.

Team

After meeting with Cardinal Solutions, physicians and stakeholders from Covenant HealthCare Partners worked closely with faculty advisors Professor Blake Johnson and Dr. Bradley Herzog. Students were asked to create a variety of materials for the organization and participated in interviews, design consultations, and weekly meetings with the client.

Students involved in the project were:
Maria Bertoia – Technical Writer
Ruby Lee Hotelling – Logo & Brand Designer & Photographer
Elizabeth Getzinger – Web Designer
Mandy Brown – Photographer

Bertoia was responsible for conducting interviews with team members and writing the text for the website and brand guidelines. Hotelling and Getzinger worked with the clients and faculty advisors to create graphics for the website and other material. “This project was exciting for all of us. It was fun to be working with an organization that is so important in our community,” Bertoia says.

Solution

Cardinal Solutions helped Covenant HealthCare Partners write a mission and vision statement that would be unique to their brand. They also created a new logo, website, and branding content for the organization to use. The team was challenged with staying true to the brand’s partners by using the required colors and typography but were asked to produce something that would promote them as a separate service.

Result

By the end of the term, Covenant HealthCare Partners had all the materials they needed to promote themselves to physicians and patients in the community. Many of the involved physicians have been directly impacted by these changes and have been excited to be included in such an important project.

Cardinal Solutions has made a lasting impact on the brand identity of Covenant HealthCare Partners through the hard work of faculty and students. Dr. Shanker, a physician involved in Covenant HealthCare Partners, says, “It’s fantastic to have a platform to showcase how we can support our physicians and patients.” The website and branding material can be seen today. Cardinal Solutions has continued working on projects with the organization to improve its success.
